The Makers Shed is the open studio of Richard Moon Wearable Silver & Silverware and the home of High Country Books, a bookshop and small-press publisher managed by author and journalist Michael Burge.

Our century-old high-street property houses an artisanal gallery and independent bookshop stocking work by creatives of the greater New England, Granite Belt and Northern Rivers regions. We host regular silver jewellery workshops, a book club and a writing group.

The Makers Shed acknowledges the traditional owners of the land on which we operate, the Ngarabal People (also: Ngoorabul, Ngarrabul, Ngarrbal), and pays respect to their elders past, present and emerging.
