OUR COOL-CLIMATE region is the perfect getaway during the colder months in the New England. Who knows, you might even encounter snow!

At The Makers Shed, we stoke up our locally made firebox to keep the old place heated up beautifully. Drop in and warm yourself in our cosy lounge area while you browse the complete range of jewellery, books, artisanal artworks and homewares and more. We even have a range of hand-knitted beanies and scarves!

There’s a full season of silver jewellery workshops so you can plan your visit.

Our year-long exhibition of works by Peter Champion continues until July, with new paintings by this Inverell-based Impressionist going up on the walls from late May.

Watch out for the exhibition changeover in early August, when Glen Innes-based Marianne la Cour’s exhibition goes up, opening as part of our annual Winter at the Shed event on Saturday August 15.

The fire will be on and the drinks and nibbles passed around for the opening of RIPPLES: new paintings and art ceramics by Marianne la Cour, and the launch of Moon on a Spoon: recipes from a creative life by Richard Moon, a new book from resident publishing imprint High Country Books.
